Syurga Cinta (Heavenly Love)

          Syurga Cinta is one of the movie directed by Ahmad Idham who is famous director in Malaysian film industry. This movie is about the love between two people with different ideologies, a Muslim boy named Irham who lives a very modern influenced with Western lifestyle, and a Muslim girl named Syuhadah  who faithfully follows the teachings of Islam in Malaysia's modern society. When their two worlds collide, they face issues and confrontations that both of them have yet to learn and understand from each other. Based on this movie, there are many good lesson that can be learned such as  parents should guide their child in properly way, we have to recognize our own mistakes and we have to be aware in judging someone.

          For the first lesson, parents should guide their children in properly way. According to this movie, we can see that parents Irham did not play as a good example to their child. This can be seen when they did not advised their son who always went out at night for clubbing and brought any women to their home. Even they also drank and socialize together with their friends at the nightclub.  From example given, we need to emphasis the religious values in our daily life. Without the element of that , we can easily to influence  and practice the western lifestyle.

          Second lesson, we have to recognize our own mistake that we had done. At the end of this movie shows that Irham realized his own mistake and want to change his lifestyle from western to the more religious person. He willing to meet an ustaz to learn more about Islam deeply. Other examples can be seen when he was given a challenge by his mates to court a pious Muslim girl, Syuhadah. Within a month, he must break up their relationship in front of his friends to win the bet. Since of that, he feels so regret with their action and strive to win her love back.

          Last but not least, we have to be aware in judging someone. In this case Syuhada had easily deceived by Irham who was planning to impose on her. She did not know that Irham and his mates had bet each other to court her. After she gave her love to Irham, she knew that Irham dishonest with her when he brought her to meet his mates at the restaurant and told all their planning to her.

          In conclusion, Syurga Cinta is the one of the movies that send out messages of religious values that we can use it in our daily life. This movie not only portrayed about the beautiful of Islam but also shows the useful lessons that we can learn on how to be a good parents in many aspects, how to do a change in our life and always be aware in judging other people that we do not know their background.
